Garden City, N.Y. - The Long Island Ducks solidified their 25-man roster over the weekend as team officials announced the signing of several players on Monday, including former Adelphi pitcher Mike Myers. Myers made his professional debut on May 19, throwing three innings of four hit, one run, one strike out relief in Long Island's 8-2 win over the Camden Riverhawks. Myers joins the Ducks for his first season of professional baseball. The righthander was 10-0 with a 2.90 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) for Adelphi in 2007. He was named Northeastern Player of the Year and Second Team All-America for his efforts. A graduate of Kellenberg High School in Uniondale, Myers has gone 11-0 while pitching for the semi-pro Long Island Storm over the past two seasons. . The Long Island Ducks play their home games at Citibank Park and are entering their ninth season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
